Ocean City is a great place for students to spend their summer breaks while enjoying a wonderful work experience earning an income and learning about the American culture and its people. The King Charles Hotel is annually offering housekeeping positions starting mid May through mid October. Work schedule includes regular hours from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 - 3:00 p.m. and one day off weekly. Each housekeeper is responsible for one floor of the hotel, hallway, rear deck, and laundry area. King Charles Hotel is looking for a minimum of 2 workers. We offer competitive hourly wage rates based on experience as well as year-end bonuses based on merit. Employees returning for a second year and with good work performances are offered a three-day trip to Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Returning a 3rd year has another travel package available.

We offer housing when available. As an employee you also receive a $10.00 per week discount on the lodging. It is a wonderful apartment that sleeps 8 people. It is very large and takes up the entire 4th floor of the King Charles Hotel. Management also takes care of supplying you with all bed linens and your laundry is done free of charge every Tuesday and Wednesday.

The King Charles Hotel is happy to offer you summer accommodations starting around the mid May through mid October. The apartment is on the 4th floor of the hotel. It has two large bedrooms with 4 beds in each room, a spacious living room, a kitchen, and a bathroom. All rooms have an air conditioner.
Our kitchen includes a stove and an oven, and a big-size refrigerator with a big freezer. There is a dining table with 8 chairs. There is a microwave, a toaster, a coffee machine, utensils, plates, knives, spoons, forks, etc. - almost everything that you may need for your cooking extravaganza is available to you.
The living room is a perfect place to relax after a long working day and has 2 furniture groupings. One has a full size sofa with arm chairs the other has a large L-shaped sofa. Each has a coffee table. The apartment has a television with cable and WIFI internet access.
Our bathroom has a shower and a tub. There is a big mirror and several cupboards. All bed linens are supplied. We would also offer you our free laundry service every Tuesday and Wednesday... just drop everything off early in the AM on the back porch and pick it up in the afternoon. We will do a maximum of 2 loads per week. If you need more service you will have to go to the laundromat.
To enjoy the housing, we only ask that you follow several regulations. Since it is located on the fourth floor above the guests' rooms, we limit the apartment to the personnel and renters only. Your friends and visitors will be able to wait for you in the lobby during normal business hours but are not allowed upstairs to avoid noise, parties, and disturbance of the Hotel guests.
The weekly rent may change annually, for 2017 rent rate is $95 per person payable by 6:00pm each Sunday. However, if you are an employee of the King Charles Hotel, your rate will be reduced by $20 a week. A $200 security deposit is collected when you move in and is returned to you after September 5th. Since you pay rent weekly, not in advance at arrival, if, you depart prior to August 31 you will forfeit your deposit. Renters have secured their accommodation and I will not be able to fill the bed. Security deposit is also held against damages. Security deposit is refunded once owner checks for damages and room key is returned.
This apartment is well maintained and clean. There are all new windows and carpeting, new stove, microwave and fridge. It is a very pleasant place to live and rest your head after a busy day.
